Svend is one of the original visionaries behind Sir Ed's and he led the charge to resurrect the establishment after it closed with little warning in July 2010. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, though many wonder when he practices since he is frequently found kayaking, mountain biking and holding forth place on the proper method of pouring a pint. For more than 15 years, Svend has volunteered at Taste of the NFL
assisting Chef Tobin McAfee of Sir Edmond Halley's as the Carolina Panthers' representative, and most recently assisting Chef Shin Tsujimura, of Nobu in New York City, representing the New York Jets. When not on walkabout, Svend divides his time between Charlotte and Saluda, North Carolina.
A longtime patron of Sir Edmond Halley's, Andy was excited to join the team of owners who resurrected the Charlotte landmark after its unexpected closing in the fall of 2010. Andy's family had several restaurants growing up and he finds pleasure in the thrills and challenges of Pub ownership. "Whether I am pouring the perfect pint of Guinness for guests or enjoying one myself, being apart of Sir Edmond Halley's has been a wonderful experience!" says Andy.
Jeff has worked at Sir Edmond Halley's since the beginning in 1996 and became an owner from 1998 - 2002 and then again in 2010.
